I have a passion for academia that extends from a pursuit of medicine to a desire to inspire a love of learning through teaching. I am committed to fostering an environment where students appreciate the learning process and are able to find their style of learning that works best for them. I think that everyone has a spark within him/her where learning becomes enjoyable.
I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in premed/Women’s Health, a Masters in Chinese Medicine and a Doctorate in medicine. I have a diverse educational background of ten years of college experience, six of which is graduate level medical school including community teaching clinics.
I have spent almost ten years in clinical practice, teaching my patients what they needed to know in order to achieve greater health. This included private practice as well as numerous community clinics. I am also involved as an educator in a community wellness class for middle school kids which is becoming part of the local curriculum. I have spent as much time as a high school and college student as a tutor, for numerous subjects.
I am a competitive athlete and compete in races for running and obstacle races. I train competitively as well, doing interval training, weight training, running and tabata. I am also involved in doing group nutrition cleanses for a local fitness studio.
