I want my students to stretch to achieve more. I expect a lot from them, and I have constantly received a lot from them. My students rise to my expectations.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish from California State University: Dominguez Hills and a master’s degree in Communication and Leadership from Gonzaga University in Washington. I also graduated from Simpson University with a secondary language arts teaching credential.

I taught English for 9 years at the secondary level and have taught writing for 6 years at a community college. At both the secondary and post-secondary levels, I have taught both developmental classes and grade level courses.

I enjoy hiking with my dogs. Since we live in a very rural area, they can roam free. I enjoy reading science fiction, mystery, and fantasy novels. I also enjoy gardening and fishing.
