EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I aspire to help students set goals and achieve those goals. To aid the students in this process I use creative and innovative teaching techniques to challenge the students.
I want my students to enjoy the process and feel proud when they reach their goals. My main goal is to help the students reach theirs!
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I attended Grand Valley State University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. I also obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Literature/Language Arts, which allows me to teach grades 6-9 in that subject area. I also enjoy teaching math and science.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I started out as a lead teacher in a before and after school program. I then was a substitute teacher for several years. I taught middle school language arts for 3 years. I am currently teaching first grade.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I have taught a dance class for an after school program. I taught the students a routine and then they performed it. I have also tutored students after school.
