EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
Education and knowledge is a basic right of every human, and instructors and tutors are given a sacred trust when a student is placed in their educational care. Instructors and tutors should be passionate about what they teach and respect students’ interests as well.
I believe my passion for the English language, writing, and reading will show in my interaction with students. I also believe that my experience with a diverse population of higher education students and as a tutor of students K-12 has given me the opportunity to appreciate each student for who he or she truly is, and to genuinely want to help them succeed.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in English and Literature from Utah Valley University and then went on to receive my Master’s Degree in English and Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have had experience tutoring students one-on-one for many years and enjoy building a relationship with my students.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I am a creative writer and write Young Adult fiction and poetry. I am also a blogger and blog on various subjects from being a mom to book and concert reviews.
