I believe all students can learn, but not all students learn the same way. It is my job a teacher to discover how my students learn best and teach them that way.

I have two undergraduate degrees from Roanoke College: a Bachelor’s Degree in Art and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. I completed my masters in Education studying Education Curriculum and instruction with a concentration in Reading Specialist. I believe in using proven best practices in my classroom.

I have worked in elementary schools teaching all subject areas, but have always focused on reading. I specialize in working with students with ADHD. I have over 12 years of teaching experience in elementary education. I am a reading specialist. I served on a differentiated education committee for many years.

I love fishing, hiking, biking – anything outdoors. Spending time with my son. I enjoy making crafts and painting as well. I own my own business. I am an Executive Director with Thirty-One Gifts. I love spending time with my team members and doing home parties.
