I believe education allows an individual to achieve goals. I also believe education can broaden the horizon for all young people and take them in directions they may not have conceived. Education should provide the practical basis for sparking a love of learning.

I left college in my 20’s with only a few courses to complete because I could not afford to continue. After college, because of a very successful and demanding business career, never had the chance to complete my degree until 2013. It was the single most satisfying accomplishment of my adult career. I want to help kids see and fully experience the excitement of education, just as I did. I love the educational process.

During my working career, I have spoken to high school classes about what it’s really like in a professional business environment. Speaking also about financial consulting and financial planning as well as investment management.

I also have been a volunteer with the Hospital Art Foundation. We work with corporate organizations to paint ceiling tiles that are placed in the children’s rooms in hospitals across the country.
