Learning requires us to step out of our comfort zones and challenge our assumptions. In order for this to happen, a safe learning environment must be created through building genuine connections and mutual trust. Students I work with know they are truly cared for and appreciated.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in History and a Bachelor of Education Degree as well. I am qualified to teach all subjects from grades 4-10 and History and English for grades 11 an 12.

I am employed with Trillium Lakelands District School Board where I supply teach, do home instruction and have held several long term occasional contracts. I have taught applied grade 10 English, Academic grade 10 English and grade 11 University level English. I have taught both in a school and online using Adobe Connect and Canvas platforms.

I am an avid reader. I write short stories, poetry and am currently researching for a historical fiction work. I exercise at home doing HIIT, Pilates and yoga. When I am not taking my children to their activities and places of employment, I also tutor a college student who is taking their PSW certification. In the past, I have been in involved in our local school’s GSA and supervised dances.
