TEACHING EXPERIENCE

My teaching experience began back while I was in the U.S. Army in 1988 as a Squad Leader and Section Chief of approximately six subordinates. In my current position, I train, teach, coach, mentor, and empower approximately 40 team members comprised of health scientists, students, and contractors in administrative processes and procedures. Also, I serve as a management analyst, advisor, and subject matter expert in personnel administration.

I maintain knowledge and experience to interpret and apply federal Human Resources laws, regulations, policies, and procedures in support of a variety of program human resources functions: recruitment/placement, benefits, staffing, employee relations, and position classification. I provide Human Resources consultant/advisory services to managers, supervisors, employees, and applicants in the areas of benefits, staffing, recruitment, and placement.

My extracurricular activities consist of reading. I also mentor young high school students who are venturing toward working in the Federal Government. I work with students at my church in mentoring and teaching them life skills and leadership skills.
