Essay

Question: Imagine that you have the opportunity to travel back through time. At what point in history would you like to stop and why?

Supposing I had the chance to go back in history it will have to be when John F. Kennedy was alive. President Kennedy accomplished a lot and one thing that separates him from the other presidents it’s his dedication to fighting for the Civil Rights Act. While his time alive he did everything in his power to get the most votes in order to stop racial issues. President Kennedy focused on the public, he cared for the people and did not believe in discrimination and indeed, believed in equality. Furthermore, he is more different than Nixon, Obama, or Bush he was the whole reason NASA went to the moon.

I choose to travel back in time to the time when President Kennedy was alive because he really did change a lot in America. Although Kennedy wasn’t alive to see the astronauts walk the moon, but he is the main reason the United States got to the moon. The first moon landing was one of those things that only happen once in a lifetime and that in my opinion is a huge impact in history. Not only that, he was the first catholic president in the history of presidents. As of the moment no other President has done a lot, for example, Nixon all he brought was scandal and troubles, and with this year’s President, he just leaves you speechless.

Overall the time that John F. Kennedy was alive is the time period I will like to travel back to. Kennedy has accomplished so many first like the first man on the moon, first catholic president, prevent nuclear Armageddon, and also have an impact on the civil rights act. Indeed, John F. Kennedy was assassinated but his legacy will always live on, and that why I will travel back to the time he was president.
