Get Your Child Ready for the STAAR Test

SchoolTutoring Academy’s STAAR Tutoring Programs start with an ACADEMIC ASSESSMENT with an Academic Director. This assessment informs your child’s STAAR tutor about their abilities, strengths, and weaknesses so the tutoring program can be tailored to their specific needs. Our STAAR Tutoring Program includes regular one-on-one tutoring, academic mentorship, bi-monthly progress reports, learning profiles, and parental conference calls.

Understanding
the STAAR Test

The STAAR Test is an annual test beginning in 3rd grade. Students can tested in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies, with the specific test being determined by their grade. Testing occurs each spring in the classroom. Additionally, End-of-course (EOC) assessments are taken throughout the year. Furthermore, students can arrange for special accommodations so long as they are approved in advance of the test. For more information on the STAAR test you can visit the Texas Education Agency website.
