Chalk Talk: Restoring a Masterpiece

Recently listed as a top ten online art museums for kids by KidsArts.com, the Minneapolis Institute of Arts website called Restoration Online provides a unique educational experience for kids and adults alike. The website which is not primarily targeted at kids offers a step by step look at how paintings are restored. The site provides a wonderful look into the world of art and art restoration. Through a photographic essay students can follow each work of art as it taken down and removed from their frames and then moved to a conservation laboratory where the piece is photographed and X-rayed, and then restored.
