Chalk Talk: Teach Your Child Community Service

Teaching children academics, respect and good behavior are essential to raising healthy effective kids who will be successful adults. But, parents can take it a step forward and teach children how be good citizens and give to their communities. Most schools offer many opportunities to be involved in community projects, but parents should reinforce community service through modeling and example. Parents should discuss they ways they give back to the community with their children and if possible, get them involved by helping and planning ways to give.
