These tests chart mastery of the topics (in line with the Utah Core) in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics. Accelerated courses are available for advanced students in language arts, science, and history. Middle school students also have the opportunity to study the fine arts or to begin their study of Spanish.

At Canyon View High School, students can earn merit diplomas through having a 3.5 GPA, and either taking a rigorous schedule of academic courses or a determined set of courses in various pre-professional areas, such as business or agriculture. Chalk Talk: The Benefits of Individual Attention in Education

Classrooms are crowded and busy. Teachers work hard to give each student the support they need, but any student can have trouble with a particular concept or process at any point in time. For students who are struggling, the pace of their classroom may just be too fast to catch up. For high-achieving students, boredom may set in, resulting in a grade slump or in poor attitude. Individual attention from a tutor allows students to make sure that any holes in their educational experience are filled in, and that you can go at your own pace, in your own time. Whether you’re racing ahead of the curve or just barely keeping up, tutoring can be an important part of your educational experience.
