Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Eagle Pass District Curriculum

The Eagle Pass reading curriculum is designed to help students develop skills in fluency and language development. The students read a variety of books from different parts of the world and from different eras. In high school, students read books such as "The Crucible," or "The Great Gatsby" to learn about different eras and to compare them to each other and to today. They are able to understand that literature can provide a lens to learn about history as well.

Mathematics at Eagle Pass Schools introduces students to many different types of math. Students learn about subjects like geometry, algebra and statistic from the early grades. When they enter high school each of these topics become subjects to be delved into further.
