The curriculum designates the key skills, knowledge and concept awareness students should be achieving each year. Additionally, the schools emphasize community service and character education at all levels. The tools they develop help students know how to care for their world, so the next generation can enjoy all that it has to show them.

We currently cover the following Haltom City-area school district: Birdville Independent School District.

Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Haltom City District Curriculum

Writing is part of the Language Arts curriculum. In this program students learn the basics of writing by using different types of media to form letters. In a short time, students are able to create sentences and paragraphs. Teachers demonstrate for the students how writing is used across the curriculum and in the world. By the time students are in middle school they have acquired enough skills to write an analysis of commercials during major sporting events. They also are able to create poetry incorporating their own life stories in them.

Students begin to study science by becoming acquainted with the different forms that it takes within their world. In elementary school they are shown how plants grow in a school garden. They also have the opportunity to attend an overnight camp where they examine natural science as they look into wetlands, weather, and entomology. This connection to nature continues as they discover photosynthesis, the forces that affect the motion of a seedling, and geotropism.
