An interest in art can be encouraged at a variety of websites on the Internet dedicated to kids and art. One of the best is called Tate’s Kids and is hosted by Tate Britain, the home of Britain’s major art museum. The website contains the popular Art Detective or the Case of the Mysterious Object where you follow clues to identify different art pieces from the museum, Dotshop where you get to change paintings from the Tate to your own liking, Spin – the spinning canvas, Cuboom a game all about cubism, Art Lab where you can learn to restore art, Wondermind a visual delight for the mind based on a current exhibit on Alice in Wonderland. There are thirteen games in all to play, and short films to watch and art to create and upload for others to enjoy. Kids have a chance to see artwork created by kids around the world and then add theirs to the collection.
