When a child needs help with history, there are a few simple things to try. First, make sure the student knows what the assignment is. Next, try to bring the assignment to life by relating it to a time and place the child understands. If the child enjoys, art, they can create a drawing or some other art work to help bring meaning to the topic. A day-trip also helps some students comprehend a subject matter.
