The Common Core State Standards and the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards drive curriculum development in the Jefferson Township Public Schools. Once in high school, students look at how genetics and gender influence their health and fitness.

  • Positive Behaviors Emphasized at Middle School - The Jefferson Township Middle School has implemented a Positive Behavior Support in Schools (PBSIS) program that seeks to improve the school climate. PBSIS focuses on rewarding positive student behaviors and engaging students in discourse regarding how to improve the school.
  • More New Jersey Students Graduating - The state’s graduation rate increased last year to a high of 87.5%. This represents an increase of 1% over the previous year and continues an upward trend in the state’s graduation rates.
  • Hipp Foundation Awards Grants - Over $88,000 in grants have been dispersed to teachers around the state courtesy of the Hipp Foundation for Excellence in Education. The money is earmarked to fund projects that enhance the learning environment in schools.
