Chalk Talk: Importance of Class Websites

In an extremely technological world, it is almost inescapable for a teacher or course not to create a class website. The website can be a great tool for students and parents. There are many host websites in which teachers can create an academic website on which they can store links to notes, worksheets and homework. They can post announcements, reminders and lesson plans so that parents can have a moment’s notice knowledge of exactly what their child has been learning and what assignment due dates are coming up. There can be links to external websites that might offer games or tutoring options. The list is endless as to the role a class website can play in keeping parents and students informed.
