In Math, a primary goal is the development of abstract reasoning through algebraic relations and operations, investigations into geometry, shapes and design, and ways of analyzing quantitative data. In Science, in-depth classes in Biology, Earth and Environmental Science, Chemistry and Physics propel scientific literacy and concept knowledge. English continues to focus on all genres of reading and purposes for writing.

Students gain critical thinking skills, procedures and concept awareness that will remain with them throughout their education and during their career. Chalk Talk: Arts Curriculum
Art students develop a range of creative abilities and learn to draw upon their personal experiences as sources of inspiration for their art. Learning to critique art is an essential component of the curriculum as well. Students evaluate their own art, looking for strengths, weaknesses, and areas of improvement. Learners also engage in critiques of art created by their peers in order to promote improved technique and artistic skill. Theatre students also become versed in improvisation. Students acquire the ability to think on their feet, bounce ideas off of one another, and deliver lines in a manner that keeps the story moving forward. A varied repertoire of music is presented to students throughout their education in order to promote a deeper understanding of the types and styles of music.
