Milford Charter Township District and Curriculum

Huron Valley Schools creates learning opportunities in accordance with the standards set by the Michigan Department of Education. The district provides an early learning program as well as talent development opportunities. Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Milford Charter Township District Curriculum

The mathematics curriculum at Huron Valley Schools emphasizes the study of quantity, structure, space, and change. Keeping Informed: Recent Milford Charter Township Educational News

  • Theatre Group - The Theatre department is an extracurricular group that trains the students in the area of theatre which interests them. Whether for roles on the stage or those that help behind-the-scenes, this group works together to produce three shows a year. The students develop many skills in this group, including leadership.
  • Robotics Team - Robotics helps students with a love of science, technology, engineering and math come together to build a robot for competitions. Each team runs under the same limitations of time and resources. The teams are given six weeks to build and program robots to meet the tasks they were assigned. They then compete against other teams. The students discover the skills needed to raise funds, and build a brand.
  • Model United Nations - Model UN is a simulation of the workings needed for the United Nation. Each group takes on the roles of one country and work to resolve problems of the world. This group increases their understanding of the world and peaceful negotiation. The students take on the roles of foreign diplomats in a simulated General Assembly session. They then investigate, meet, prepare papers, debate, draft and vote.
