Mount Olive Township District and Curriculum
The Mount Olive Township Public School District is the only public school system in Mount Olive, New Jersey. The district serves students in kindergarten through the 12th grade. There are four elementary schools, one middle school and one high school in the district, which has a total population of approximately 4,500 students. The mission of the district is to challenge each student to achieve his or her highest potential so they are prepared to take on the demands of future educational and career pursuits.

- Mt. Olive Freshmen Get Tablets - As part of the district’s 1:1 technology initiative, Mount Olive Township Public Schools has issued tablets to each incoming freshman. The students will be able to use the tablets for their entire high school careers.
- Elementary Schools Begin Special Literacy Program - In order to continue improvement in student literacy, Mount Olive Township Public Schools has implemented a special literacy program in its elementary schools. The program, entitled Journeys, is based on the Common Core Standards and builds a knowledge base for reading and comprehending complex texts.
