Chalk Talk: Technology in Schools

Technology is one of the fastest growing sectors in our world today. To keep up with this development, students in schools need to be introduced to technology at an early age and learn essential operating skills that will enhance their educational experience. Jefferson Elementary School, part of the Oshkosh Area School District in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, has embraced this concept with open arms. Jefferson is the first OASD school to provide every student with an iPad. Students use these iPads to master technical skills and enrich their classroom learning. Technology is a fantastic tool to better connect students to the world around them. Students can develop virtual pen pals and learn about other cultures and parts of the world, or simply be more efficient in research tasks they do in class.
