Chalk Talk: How Volunteering Can Turn into a Career

Volunteering to work at things that you are interested in can turn into a career for you. Helping at a hospital could show you the way to a career in some form of medicine whether as a professional doctor or nurse or as an assistant. You get to see and do some of the things that are done when the job becomes your career. It can work two ways. Either you will see it as a potential job or it will help you realize that it definitely not for you before you spend a lot of money learning to do something you do not like doing. Volunteering lets you do things you may not be allowed to do for pay and gives you a chance to see if you want to train to do it.
