Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Placerville District Curriculum
The curriculum for Math involves the skills of numeracy, algebra, geometry and data analysis each year. - Health Academy - The Health Academy at El Dorado High School is designed for students who are interested in careers in the fields of health and human services. Core curricular subjects are taught and there is an additional emphasis on subjects related to these fields.
- EDHS Clubs - El Dorado High School has a number of in- and after-school activities for students to join. These extracurriculars add a complement to what students learn and give them an outlet to pursue their interests.
- Teen Court - In a very interesting program offered at Oak Ridge High School, students may participate in a real-life judicial experience. Teen Court is entirely for teens - everyone who participates, except for the Judge, is a teenager. Students work on legal and social issues through the real cases they work on. Students are required to attend a training and commit to being involved for more than one semester.
