Georgia Tutors

I desire to challenge my students and watch them progress and grow. My personal goal for my future classroom is to challenge students and watch them grow to their full potential. I want students to be engaged and responsible for their own learning. Students will encouraged to work in small groups and express their creativity. As an educator, I desire for students to work together and enjoy each others.
I believe anyone has an innate desire to learn. I believe anyone has an innate desire to improve themselves. I believe there are no hard subjects. I believe people are afraid to see their true potentials.
As an educator, it is my duty to encourage the growth and the future stability of education. One of the reasons I decided to pursue a career in education was not only to follow in the footsteps of the educators in my family, but for the opportunity to work with future generations, to help mold them and inspire them to keep the educational “flame burning”.

Chalk Talk: The Different Learning Styles of Students

There are several learning styles and not all of them are easily incorporated into a classroom setting. Many times children are inhibited by the fact the teacher is not accommodating their learning style. There are 3 distinct learning styles that are combined with 7 categories of intelligences. The three types of learning styles are visual learners which is the category described above, auditory learner, and tactile learners. The categories of multiple intelligences are visual, verbal, logical, bodily, musical, interpersonal, and intrapersonal. It is nearly impossible for any teacher to cover each and every combination of learning preferences in any single lesson. This may seem like and impossible problem to solve. Talk to your child have them take a learning styles test there are many available on-line; then talk to your child's teacher and school counselor to figure out the best way to help your child become successful in their academic pursuits.
