Chalk Talk: Finding a Quality Tutor

Choosing a quality tutor to help your child is important for their academic success. There are several ways to find a good tutor for your child. A common way is to ask a friend or family member for a recommendation of a tutor or tutoring center they may have used in the past. Because they may have first-hand experience with these individuals or organizations, their recommendations can save your time and energy. Most cities have tutoring companies or educational companies that can help place your child with a quality tutor in their area of need. Be sure to check references if dealing with an unknown tutor before proceeding. Make sure the tutor is a good fit for your child and can adapt to your child’s learning style. Talk to your child after the tutoring sessions to make sure that learning gains are being made and their needs are being met in order to maximize success!
