Chalk Talk: What Are Some Post-Secondary Options for My Child?

When a student is getting ready to graduate high school, their plans for next steps are supported through different learning pathways at the schools. Students may choose to go into a four-year college; for those who have this goal, following the Academic course formats in core subjects is advisable. Students may opt for two year post-secondary programs that specialize in a career-oriented field. This would be supported by either the Academic or Applied course formats. Many students plan to enter the workforce and the programs in Cooperative Education and the High Skills Specialist Majors are well-suited to prepare students for career success. There are also opportunities for international work and study, which is supported by all the available options including international language learning.
