As an educator, it is my job to find my students’ best learning style, and help them to learn to use it for themselves, so they can not only learn the material I am teaching, but to also enjoy learning enough to do it on their own outside of an educational environment.

I attended the State University of New York College at Cortland in 1993, and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in 1997. I immediately started teaching 9-12 grade science, and continued to do so for 13 years, both in a classroom and online. I have taken several courses since I have graduated, and I am now looking to pursue a Master’s Degree. I hope to never stop learning as long as I live!

I taught Biology, Chemistry, Honors Chemistry, Honors Chemistry II, Earth Science, Physical Science, and General Science in a brick and mortar classroom for 12 years. I taught most science classes, a little Sign Language and Spanish, and was a mentor/advisor for over 4 years online. I have written some of the curriculum for the online classes as well.

I was very active as a student, playing soccer, running track, and joining clubs, such as the Red Cross Club, Ski Club, and Chemistry team. I played soccer in college, and even coached my college team for a year. While I was teaching, I coached girls and boys JV soccer, Cheerleading and Flag Corps, Softball, and ran the Astronomy and Pep Clubs.
