When I look back and reflect on my high school classes, I think the subject of english has taught me the most. There is not necessarily one thing I learned that makes me choose english, but rather how it has changed me as a student.<\/p>\n
When I took AP English my junior year, I knew I was taking on a big challenge. It was my first AP class in high school, and I wasn\u2019t particularly excited. As of right now I would classify myself as an above average writer. Before taking AP English though, I would have considered myself to be nothing more than mediocre. I took AP English primarily to strengthen myself as a writer, knowing that it would benefit me in the long run.<\/p>\n
English is also the only subject in which I have never asked my teacher, \u201cwhen am I going to use this in life?\u201d, because everything I have learned in english can be applied to the real world. English has also made me more creative as a student, because with every writing prompt or research topic a new answer must be formulated.<\/p>\n
English has greatly influenced the rest of my education too because I have been able to carry over the skills I have learned to all my other classes. The things I have learned in English are not confined to only helping me in that class, but actually changing how I perform in other classes, like history.<\/p>\n
English will also help me at the next level of my education which is college. Obviously a lot of writing is done in college, so I think everything I\u2019ve learned from English will greatly benefit me in the near future.<\/p>\n
The subject of english has made me a better writer, changed how I perform in all my classes, and opened new doors for me as a student due to how applicable it is to the real world. I think it\u2019s an easy choice as the subject I learned the most from in high school.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
