As senior year comes to end a lot of emotions come rushing in, most of them bittersweet. It’s sad to be leaving behind something that you have been part of for the past 12 years of your life, to be leaving behind all these people you’ve come to know and grow with, whom you have priceless memories with. However, it’s also an exciting time because you’re starting a new chapter in you life, you’re finally going to spread your wings and be independent in college. College is the stepping stone to the rest of your life so it’s very important that you pick the right one. The three things I personally look for in a college are an affordable tuition plan or sufficient financial aid, for it to have the major I am interested in, and a variety of clubs and extracurricular activities.
\nThe first and most important thing is tuition. The university I pick needs to not be too expensive as my family is not in the best financial situation. That\u2019s why I prefer a university that is instate so it is cheaper. Also for it to have sufficient financial aid and scholarships available to the students who can’t afford the cost of college.
\nI also look for the university to have my intended major. I plan to major in marketing and film making. Marketing is fairly easy to find in most schools, but a school with a good film program is a bit harder, I have found a few so far and they are instate as well so that’s even better.
\nI also look for a school to have a variety of clubs and extracurricular activities for the students to take part in. I very much enjoy being part of the school and involved in anyway I can. I enjoy joining many different clubs because you learn so many new things and meet so many new people. I want a university that lets students take control of their own clubs and activities to express themselves, clubs that the students are fully immersed and committed to.
\nOf course picking a university is a lot more complicated than just this and a lot more thought goes into it. However these are just a few of the core things that will initially attract me to a university.<\/p>\n
