No one ever likes to reflect back on the negative things that has happened in their life. High school has to be one of the most challenging obstacles that you’ll face throughout your teenage years. For me 9th grade biology was the hardest thing ever. I failed the class 4 times and I could never figure out what it was with me and biology. Looking back on it today, I realize exactly what I was doing wrong.
\nThe first time I took the class I failed because I would never fully comprehend the work and I didn’t care enough to ask questions. The subject it’s self was something I was never really good in. The second time I took the class I took it online. I did the work and I had a 79 in the class. When it came time to take the big test everything in my mind went out the window and I ended up failing the entire class.
\nThe next time around which was my third time I felt discouraged because of the last two times I took it. As a result, I didn’t even bother to take the class and I failed. I took the class online but I didn’t discipline myself to actually take the class. I knew that the work had to be submitted before a certain day, but I didn’t care because I thought I wasn’t going to pass the class. I was so tired of taking the class that I gave up hope and I didn’t care anymore.
\nThe last time I took the class, my mom had to push me to take the class. I finally got it in my head that if I didn’t take the class seriously that I wouldn’t graduate. From that point on I started studying day in and day out. I went to class sessions to make sure I understood the work and I spoke with different teachers so they could help me. As a result I ended up passing the class.
\nThe feeling I had when I found out that I passed the class is indescribable. I was so happy! I regret not passing the 1st time, but I believe that everything happens for a reason. It was truly a lesson learned. I’ll always keep it in my mind so I’ll never have to go through that again.<\/p>\n
