School gets harder and harder each year you’re in it. As a senior taking AP and Honor courses it gets harder to understand these courses. AP English Lang is one of the most difficult classes I’ve taken. I loved learning but I could never keep the information taught to me. It was almost like it went in one ear and out the other. I was getting D’s on quizzes I thought I could ace. I had to find a way to make this information stick to my brain. So on my own I decided to take it a step further. I went to the store and got 2 notebooks. One notebook I took to school to write my notes in and study with. The other notebook I kept at home by my computer to take notes online and study that as well. For days in and out I would use this studying technique. It was hard because I’ve never been one to study. Things normally came natural to me when learning but for some reason this class made me work hard. But I knew if I worked hard enough it would pay off in the end. My mother always taught me to work hard for what I want, and what I wanted was to get a good grade in that class. So after a couple weeks of studying I took another quiz. I got it back and got a C+. I was so excited. It’s no A but it’s an improvement and that’s what really matters to me. So I kept studying, kept working, kept improving. I started getting A’s and B’s on my quizzes and class work. It was something I am still so proud of and a technique I still use to teach to other kids to help as well.<\/p>\n
