Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Dale City District Curriculum
In Math, elementary students learn about base ten procedures, and also begin to work with fractions. More advanced geometry and algebra related concepts are introduced in the later elementary grades, such as learning how to measure angles and classify shapes based on the properties of their lines.The complex number system is additionally introduced at this level. Students perform arithmetic operations with complex numbers, and utilize complex numbers in equations and polynomial identities.
