Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Dunnville District Curriculum
Beyond basics and content knowledge, students are expected to learn ways to analyze mathematic and written information, they will have to evaluate it, and express their opinions. Through the learning in Math, Science, English, History and Social Studies, students become familiar with the world and its distinctly operating segments, but the Curriculum provides for these understandings to come together as a whole for students when they choose an area to specialize in or choose a pathway to take.
Students in Dunnville also take part in a financial literacy curriculum that focuses on making sound financial decisions. Students learn about managing money and the various means by which they can save for the future. Learners explore money markets, CDs, savings accounts, and numerous other types of savings and investment strategies. Income is explored, including occupational benefits that are often included as part of a contract, such as retirement benefits.

Chalk Talk: Self-Paced SAT/SAT Prep
There are several different ways for a student to prepare for the SAT. One of the ways is a self-paced program. This type of preparation can be accomplished with the purchase of a book or through online programs. This type of prep is inexpensive and is great for any student that dreads the thought of taking a course. However, these students needs to set up a regular schedule, generally about two hours a week. They need to be willing to stick to the schedule for up to three months. If a student has problems sticking with a schedule or is not motivated, another form of preparation, such as a course, may need to be considered.
