Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Fairless Hills District Curriculum
Both districts have programs designed to accommodate and assist special needs students. Select students are evaluated and tested to understand what their individual needs are that cannot be met in the regular classroom setting. This is applicable to Gifted students as well. English Language Learners also receive accommodation making ESL classes available and making appropriate adaptations to their learning.
High school students are provided with many opportunities which will prepare them for their future including more advanced course offerings and electives that will be useful for students pursuing different goals. High school academics, in all core subjects, expect a higher degree of analytic and critical thought and provide students many opportunities for it. Students draw upon past knowledge of mathematical problem-solving strategies to perform more complicated tasks or students write an incorporate a wider array of ideas and other works into their own work.

My daughter was able to improve her test scores after a few months of tutoring with SchoolTutoring. However, while raising test scores is great, the real payoff is in the self-confidence that she gained.
I just wanted to send a quick note to say thank-you! My son is very impressed with his tutor and looks forward to each session. What’s particularly amazing about this is our son has never really looked forward to math or school for that matter!

Chalk Talk: What to Look for When Finding a Tutor for Your Child
There are many considerations when looking into tutoring for your child. The first step to finding a tutor is talking to your child’s teacher to find out what is needed and how the help can be received. Your child’s teacher will be able to tell you if tutoring is needed. Before you contact possible tutors, take time to establish what is needed. Lay out specific skills that need to be worked on and information on your child like how they learn best, what they excel at and what they struggle with. This will help you identify a tutor who will best meet the needs of your child. Next do the research to find out what tutors on in the area. Your child’s school may have information on this as well your local college or university. Word of mouth can be a good way to find tutors as well as well known or local tutoring organizations. If you are not sure, find out if you can have a trial session.
