Mason District and Curriculum
The Mason schools offer a challenging and engaging curriculum that focuses on high achievement. Mason Ohio’s Language Arts curriculum integrates an Accelerated Reader program which is an independent reading program combining the use of technology and quizzes on a variety of different book topics to help improve students’ literacy and comprehension skills as well as motivation. Another vital program called Arts connections integrates arts such as visual arts, music, theatre and dance into the everyday classroom experiences.
Mason High School Rain Garden Project aims to incorporate a problem-based approach to teaching Environmental Science using real world problems. Water conservation and management is the focus of this project, using team leadership and collaboration skills to resolve issues and develop a global understanding of the Environmental issues that affect our world and how we can do our part to resolve troubling issues.
