Developing effective note-taking skills is an essential step to acing tests and retaining information. With the abundance of available technology, taking notes is easier than ever. Students can choose to organize notes strategically using bullets, numbers, and pre-designed templates to suit their needs. When taking hand written notes, be sure to write legibly, it is far more important than speed! It helps to know what information is important: teachers can help with this by underlining titles and pointing out important concepts. Be sure to always write down information that is new to you, as it will be helpful when looking over notes to study for exams.
