Westlake Village District and Curriculum

Data analysis methods are taught beginning with basic probability and moving onto advanced statistics.

- Outdoor School - The Outdoor School is a program designed by the Conejo Valley District to provide all students in grade 6 with a significant experience in environmental education. The programs offer 3 day course at an off-site nature area where students enjoy the outdoors while also engaged in learning activities. The objectives for the program are aligned to the California Content Standards in Science.
- Century Academy - The Century Academy is an educational option for students in high school who would benefit from an independently-guided learning environment. Students experience both direct and online instruction and are able to work on projects which they help design. The school is designed to not have bells or formal classroom routines, and instead students have a tight-knit community and individualized attention to support their daily routine.
- Service Learning - For students in Las Virgenes Unified School District, service learning is a major component of their educational experience. The initiative has a number of goals such as working on projects that supports the community, that projects integrate academic goals, and that they help develop civic responsibility for students.
