Woodbury District and Curriculum

The tenth largest city in Minnesota, Woodbury boasts six elementary schools, two middle schools and two high schools. We can help your child to succeed in Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science and English language learning. We know teaching, we know the district, and we can help your child to succeed.

We currently cover the following Woodbury-area school district: South Washington County School District.

Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Woodbury District Curriculum

The South Washington County School District has implemented the D833 Strategic Plan to aid in student achievement and to increase
academic success. To that end, we have familiarized ourselves with the South Washington curriculum based on core standards like
language arts and literacy, mathematics and even fine arts and media.

We offer a diverse staff that can help students in diverse learning communities like Woodbury and the surrounding towns. We are also
familiar with South Washington county’s AVID program, which is a college preparation and support initiative aimed at getting students
ready and eligible for college and life beyond the K-12 classroom. We can offer help to students who want to do well in this program
and succeed following a rigorous curriculum that might seem impossible at first. One of our goals is to help students through and over
such obstacles, so they can tackle them themselves as they move through their academic lives.

Chalk Talk: How to Encourage STEM Learning

Math, Science, Engineering and Technology are more important than ever in today's technologically advanced world. With students as young as five using iPads in the classroom, it is important that we focus on these areas to give them the edge they need to succeed in a rapidly growing and changing world. A great way to do this is to explore scholars who have made advancements in these fields and to show students real-world applications of these subjects, such as vaccines or even space exploration.
