Through my time working with students in varying capacities, I have come to recognize the definition of a teacher varies greatly. It is certainly not just about the degree or certificate we carry, but rather the energy, passion, knowledge and understanding we bring to a student each time we teach.
After receiving a Business Administration Diploma from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, I went on to earn my Bachelor of Arts in History at Concordia University College of Alberta.
I have tutored both privately and through organizations, working with students in English, reading, writing, history, and social studies subject matter. I have also worked with students, teaching literacy skills and more specifically how to construct a newspaper article.
I am a passionate writer, mostly in poetry and essay forms. I was previously employed as a newspaper Editor with Greatwest Publishing. My love for the outdoors has me hiking on the west coast of Vancouver Island as often as possible.
