Education is not only the most important tool we can equip a student with, but it is vital to our future success. Being an educator, although sometimes challenging, is the most rewarding profession there is. Students all learn at different rates and environments so it is the responsibility of each educator to best fulfill the needs of the individual students. Organization is also a crucial aspect of any classroom and, passion and enthusiasm are key ingredients to any great learning atmosphere.
I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from South Dakota State University. I am certified to teach math in South Dakota as well as Colorado.
I started teaching as a student teacher at a high school for Algebra I and Accelerated Precalculus. I have also taught in my own high school classrooms in South Dakota and Colorado. I taught Honors Geometry, Algebra II and Special Education Math.
When I taught in the Mitchell School District I was the co-adviser for the Future Business Leaders of America. I am currently a swim instructor at a swim school in my town.
