Effective PAT Test Prep
for Alberta Students

Understanding
PAT Assessments

Alberta’s Provincial Achievement Tests (PATs) administers provincewide assessments for all students in grades 6 and 9. The assessments tests English, French language arts, math, social studies and science. They occur at different times during the school year. This test is mandatory and all students must take the test. The tests are being transitioned to a digital format and will be fully digital soon.
