I believe that my role as an educator is to facilitate learning. Learning is meant to be enjoyable and when this occurs the information is retained and applied in all sorts of situations.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Education with a focus in English. I also have a Master of Arts in Applied Communication.

I have been teaching for the last fifteen years at a variety of levels. My university experience includes a year of teaching freshman public speaking courses and a semester of teaching a senior level communication course online. I taught high school English for three years. The majority of my career has been spent teaching middle school language arts, which I have done for eleven years.

I love to read. I also thoroughly enjoy spending time outdoors with my family.
