Get Your Child Ready for KAP Assessments

SchoolTutoring Academy’s KAP Tutoring Programs start with an ACADEMIC ASSESSMENT with an Academic Director. This assessment informs your child’s tutor about their abilities, strengths, and weaknesses so the tutoring program can be tailored to their specific needs. Our KAP tutoring programs includes regular one-on-one tutoring, academic mentorship, bi-monthly progress reports, learning profiles, and parental conference calls.

Understanding
KAP Assessments

The Kansas Assessment Program (KAP) is made up of several assessments beginning in 3rd grade. Testing in English Language Arts and Mathematics occurs yearly from 3rd to 8th grade. Students also take Science assessments in 5th and 8th grade. Once in high school, students are tested in ELA and Mathematics in 10th grade and then have a final assessment in Science in 11th grade. Alternative Assessments in these subjects also exist for students with cognitive disabilities or whose individualized educational program (IEP) specifically calls for such assessment. For more information on the KAP you can visit the Kansas Assessment Program website.
