Parents are their child’s first and best teacher. Working together, parents and teachers can move children forward and help them meet their educational and developmental milestones. Teachers need to develop strong collaborations with parents so that they can work together for the best interest of the child.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education (k-6) with a reading endorsement. My Master’s degree is also in education with an emphasis on child development (birth-5). I have also started taking some courses towards an infant/early childhood mental health certification.
I have taught preschool for several years; was also a director at two early childhood centers. Most recently I have done early childhood education through home visits.
I provide respite care for children with special needs. I am responsible for basic care as well as providing fun and educational activities for the children while they are in my care.
