From my perspective, a good teacher is the one who takes on the role of a facilitator rather than the authority. He understands that his job is not to be a keeper of knowledge, but a vessel to pass it on. Also, good teacher is a responsible and caring individual that creates a classroom community dedicated to the complete development of students. A school is not only a place where students can learn knowledge, but also a place to develop social skills and grow as an individual. I believe that every student should be noted, and that teaching must involve variation and flexibility to best meet the needs of each unique learner.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and a Math minor. I also a Masters degree in Teaching: Adolescence in Chemistry.

I worked as a tutor in math and chemistry, and as a lab teaching assistant. I have also planned and implemented lessons in a 7th grade Science class and Regents Chemistry. I also developed some materials to address different learning styles and to assess student progress.

Personally, I love traveling and trying different types of food everywhere I go. Fortunately, I’ve had the chance to visit many places around the States as well as some countries in the Southeast Asia.
