I believe that students should be encouraged to seek answers and think rationally so they can apply these skills to other areas of their lives. I especially like to emphasize critical thinking so that students are able to reason through their own work instead of relying on memorization.
I received my Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Biology at the University of Toronto. I have broad experience in learning in different environments including traditional school settings and university to distance education and online learning. I feel this background allows me to understand and empathize with students needs.
I have experience in tutoring one on one in person and online as well as in groups. This diverse experience has allowed me to improve my own abilities to aid students with a variety of needs.
I play instruments including guitar and clarinet, play badminton casually, and do a variety of crafts including sewing, knitting, crochet and cross stitch. I also enjoy reading extensively and drawing.
