I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially.
My belief is one should always teach to the whole child and not just the academic one. It is my desire as a educator to help students meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites a sharing of ideas.
I have a K-12 state certification and I have a master’s degree in Technology Education and another Master’s degree in General studies with a emphasis on Curriculum Development. I have endorsements in Language Arts and Science.
I have a K-12 Certification with the State of Washington. I have been in the teaching field for 40 years.
I am an active organic gardener, and promote healthy eating to young people. I work closely with a culinary chef to present healthy eating habits with young people. I love to travel and try different foods from around the world. I have traveled to China, Thailand, Ethiopia, all over Europe and parts of Indonesia.
