  • National Atomic Testing Museum - The National Atomic Testing Museum is the country’s only such museum. The museum is affiliated with the Smithsonian Institution has actual equipment from the atomic test site.   • Hoover Dam and Lake Meade - What a great historical site to visit! Hoover Dam, which is made with 6.6 million tons of concrete. Visitors can take a guided tour of the power plant, seeing its massive generators and pipes that lie below the dam. The dam holds back the Colorado River and allowed for Lake Meade to come about. Also visit Lake Meade and take a boat tour, as well as taking a hike on the railroad tunnel trail.
